Appointment Setter
Earn 10% of everything a client pays in their first year, for every appointment you book that signs. Commission-only, as an independent contractor (1099). Remote, for people who live and work in West Virginia.
Velcrest Web Development designs and builds custom-coded websites for small and local businesses across West Virginia, then hosts and looks after them. We're growing and building our sales team. As the setter, you open the conversation and book the walk-through. The closer takes it from there.
You're paid on the client's whole first year
- 10% of a booked client's first year once they sign. On Groundwork that's $75 the day they sign, then $28.14 a month for ten more months: about $356 per client.
- $120 on a $1,200 custom website.
- A $500 bonus for you, and another for the closer, in any month the two of you sign 20 or more new clients.
- Paid on clients who sign. An appointment that doesn't sign isn't paid.
What a year can look like
Booked appointments that sign Groundwork, per week, for clients who stay. Your pay climbs through the year because each client pays you across their whole first year. The second figure is the yearly rate you'd be earning by month 12.
- 3 signed a week: about $35,500 in your first year, building to a pace of about $55,600 a year.
- 5 a week: about $65,000 in your first year (including the monthly bonus), building to a pace of about $92,700 a year.
These are examples of how the commission adds up at these weekly numbers, not a promise of earnings. What you earn depends on how many of your appointments sign and how long those clients stay.
An offer that's simple to explain
- Groundwork is $297 a month and $594 to start (the first and last month), on a 12-month plan. It's for owners who would rather not put a few thousand dollars down up front.
- Custom websites start at $1,200.
- Care & Hosting starts at $250 a month.
- Prices are published on our site, so you have a straight answer when an owner asks what it costs.
Leads, found for you
Our own lead-finding software checks West Virginia businesses every weekday and flags the ones with no website, or one that's broken or badly out of date. Our email outreach runs every weekday too. You start your calls from that list.
The role
You call small businesses, mostly in West Virginia, and find out whether they need a new website or a better one. When an owner is interested, you book them a walk-through with Velcrest. You don't have to close the sale.
How it works
- Independent contractor (1099), commission only: no base pay and no draw.
- Set your own hours and work from anywhere in West Virginia.
- Calls go through a Velcrest business line, in a phone app we provide, so your personal number stays your own.
- Commission is paid monthly.
Who fits
- You've made business-to-business cold calls and you're comfortable picking up the phone.
- You're comfortable being paid on clients who sign, not by the hour.
- You're friendly, honest and never pushy.
- You live in West Virginia and you're 18 or older.
